She has worked with food and farming enterprises and food policy organizations in Chicago and New York to promote healthy sustainable food systems, urban agriculture, school gardening programs, and regional farming, including founding The Talking Farm, “The Farm with Something to Say,” an urban farming and educational enterprise in Evanston, Ill.

Michael J. Curry has a Bachelor of Science degree in Plant and Soil Science, specializing in Environmental Studies. He is also Registered Landscape Architect and Green Roof Professional with 20 years of design/build, nursery production, and soils experience. In addition, he has over 17 years in consulting on growth media for landscape soils and amendments, engineered soils for bioswales and rain gardens, structural soils for tree pits, green roofs, and green walls. He is also an active speaker and educator at his local community college. As President of GreenSite, Mike collaborates with designers, engineers, and contractors on the design and specifications for green infrastructure and stormwater management projects.
