Today is the last day to pay the first quarterly or first semiannual installment of 2025–26 taxes to the city’s Department of Finance (DOF).

Independence Day is a Service Employees’ Union (Local 32BJ) contract holiday. It’s also a Sanitation Department workers’ holiday, which means there’s no garbage pickup or street cleaning.
