Today is the last day during Fire Prevention Week to distribute a copy of the fire safety plan to current occupants of every apartment, and to building employees, if you won't be distributing the plans in January with the Dept. of Health and Mental Hygiene's required window guard notices. The fire and emergency preparedness (FEP) guide must be distributed building-wide at least once every three calendar years. If you choose to distribute the plans during Fire Prevention Week, you must do so between Oct. 5 and Oct. 11.
