Delaware Housing Authority Offering $2.1 Million in Tax Credits

Mar 28, 2011

Multisite assisted housing developers have until April 15, 2011 to apply for a share of the $2.1 million in federal housing tax credits that is now available from Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA). In Delaware, the federal tax credits will provide investors of affordable rental housing developments an annual credit on their federal taxes for 10 years.

DSHA has used the low-income housing tax credit program to spur the development of more than 7,700 affordable rental housing units in the state. Interested investors and developers can obtain the 2011 Housing Credit Qualified Allocation Plan and application materials by accessing DSHA’s Web site at www.destatehousing.com.
